If you’re considering home care services for a loved one, Comfort Care At Home is here to help make the transition as smooth and supportive as possible. We begin with a free consultation, during which we learn about your loved one’s specific needs, preferences and routines. From there, we create a customised care plan that reflects their lifestyle, ensuring they receive the right level of support when and how they need it.
Our team understands that choosing care services is a significant decision, and we’re here to answer any questions, address concerns, and help you feel confident in your choice.

Residential care is where individuals live in a home and receive 24-hour support from professional carers. Both care homes and nursing homes are types of residential care facilities.
Care home staff assist with daily personal care tasks such as washing and dressing, and may also provide support for some medical needs. Nursing homes provide a higher level of medical care than care homes and will have a registered nurse on staff.
Choosing between home care and a care home depends on the individual’s needs, preferences, and circumstances. Home care allows your loved one to stay in their own homes, which is a familiar and comfortable environment, and can be an excellent option for those who value their independence but need support with daily living activities.
However, a care home may suit individuals who require more intensive care, a higher level of medical intervention, or round-the-clock specialised care.
If your loved one has savings equal to or less than £23,250, they will be entitled to receive financial support from their local council. Your loved can choose to access free care from companies that have contracts with local councils, or can get the funding and choose their own care company and pay the differential cost. You will need to get in touch with social services for an assessment of your loved one’s needs and finances.
If your loved one’s savings exceed this threshold, they must pay for their care.
